Production Line Lead

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Production Line Lead for a growing food manufacturing facility in Ferndale. Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Position Details:

• Position Type: Evaluation-to-Hire
• Location: Ferndale, WA
• Pay: $22.00 - $24.00/HR

What You'll Do:

• Lead and coordinate daily activities on assigned production lines
• Enforce food safety standards, GMPs, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures
• Partner with Quality Assurance to perform routine quality checks and verify product specifications
• Identify and isolate non-conforming products to prevent contamination and reduce waste
• Promote a zero-accident culture through safety leadership and PPE compliance
• Ensure OSHA and company safety requirements are followed
• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and maintain a clean work environment
• Allocate labor and direct workflow to maximize production efficiency
• Train and onboard employees on SOPs, safety procedures, and equipment operation
• Coordinate shift handoffs and document production metrics, yields, and downtime
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and escalate maintenance concerns as needed
• Operate production equipment and assist on the line during staffing shortages or peak production periods

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food processing or manufacturing
• Understanding of HACCP principles, food safety requirements, and manufacturing processes
• Previous leadership experience such as Lead, Trainer, Coordinator, or similar role preferred
• Ability to translate production schedules into clear tasks for team members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist throughout the shift
